Re: [cdt-dev] Fwd: [epp-dev] Juno M5 packages

I don't want to derail this conversation. It's a good one. I will say though that the "this look is uglier than that one" argument is _old_news_ in this community. We had *many* more people complaining about the 2.x -> 3.0 look and feel changes than we have seen this time. There are also lots of people who like the new look too (just like there was the last time). In any case, one of the goals of 4.x was to make the UI *more* configurable, so if you'd like to see us change something, start by going and tweaking the CSS file to see if you can get what you want. Anything that can be changed at that level, we can definitely consider accepting.

Bugs are a different issue, however. We've done what we believe is a reasonable triaging of the open bugs and ended up with approximately 100 that need to be fixed before release. If we can get those under control, I think the quality will be comparable to the experience you get with 3.x.

:). I agree with that sentiment. At this stage of the game, Eclipse
can really use a UI makeover to modernize it's look and feel. e4 came
with a great programming model that promises to make that easier, but
we truly lack UI design contributions to Eclipse. So, no, I don't
think there is any such work planned for 4.2, if at all at the moment.
