I’ve been working with Jeff from Red Hat on having the autotools build support moved from Linux Tools to CDT. The bug is here if you’d like to comment:

Autotools is supported by MinGW and on the Mac amongst other platforms which makes it more generic than just Linux. I think it’s a great addition for our CDT users. Let me know your thoughts on the bug.
