Yay, got the MBS core tests working. Not only do they need UI to run, they also depend on the gnu build definitions. I've added the plug-in dependency to make sure these definitions get included in the test harness. It's another example of where Maven is more picky (and correct) than our previous releng setup.

BTW, only have this for master. I'll take a look at 8.0 when I get a chance.
