Currently there is no workspace-level setting for that. We are not going to change the default without giving users a chance to restore the old behavior if they so choose.

There seems to be a prevailing opinion that "stop in main" is an annoyance.

Same applies to those who don't want "stop on main" being enabled by default, doesn't it?
We have had enough troubles with all disappeared features.
