I understand the rationale behind this change, but it's a big change. Are you sure that it will work smoothly with old launch configurations?

Backward compatibility is paramount. Existing launch configurations should continue to work exactly as before. Existing common source lookup paths will be converted into default source lookup paths while preserving their semantics.
