Hi,
I prepared a patch to make CDT images available as an API via class CDTSharedImages in org.eclipse.cdt.ui similar to org.eclipse.ui.ISharedImages from the platform, see bug 88402. I hope this enhancement will facilitate reuse and common look and feel for CDT based plugins.
