[cdt-dev] the .gdbinit launch config setting

Does anyone have an objection or concern with removing ".gdbinit" as a default value for the GDB command file in a newly created CDT launch configuration? I don't see much benefit to it, and it is a source of confusion when looking at the gdb trace (see 288305 and 314124).
