Re: [cdt-dev] CDT 7.0 M6 Candidate (was Error during nightly builds)

Title: Re: [cdt-dev] CDT 7.0 M6 Candidate (was Error during nightly builds)
EDC Launches don’t yet support “Run,” only “Debug” (bug 305958). Does “Debug” work for you?

Thanks - Ken

 Hi folks,

Just tried out bleeding edge 3.5M6 + 7.0M6 (20100315) on Vista, using gcc-4.5 + gdb-7.0 (from equation.com).

I tried to create a run/debug configuration.

a) EDC is not really working

!ENTRY org.eclipse.cdt.debug.edc 4 5013 2010-03-16 03:12:15.826
!MESSAGE Launch mode 'run' is not (yet) implemented

I guess, that error log entry is coming from it?

So I changed over to DSF-GDB.

b) I have some left over launches in the debug view, but i cannot remove them. When I select one, I can not select remove terminuated launch.

If EDC were to throw a CoreException or a RuntimeException as a result of "a)" then the left over launches would have been removed (see bug 300919).

Cheers,
Pawel
