Re: [cdt-dev] CDT 6.0.2 RC4

Hi Mike,

Did you use the Mac OS command set? Threads should appear but thread stacks will sometimes be wrong, a patch is pending. Halting should work also. I tested this with 6.0.2-RC4 and it worked. If it still doesn't work, please add a simple example in the corresponding bugs.

Thanks,

Marc-Andre

Gave it a try from an OS X Developer perspective and here are my thoughts using the "standard process launcher with GDB" running OS X 10.5.8 on an Intel machine. I used the Galileo-CDT download (Carbon) that I already had and let the 6.0.2 RC update that installation.

[Mac] Debug launch takes 20 extra sec (CLI problem) (294538)

This seems fixed. Launched in the same amount of time that Xcode does.

DT gdb/mi fails to parse result of gdb cmd "thread info" (269838)
<https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=269838>
Still only see a single thread when I had a break point set in another thread. Not sure what ever happened to the patch for that.

GDB can't halt debugging process (265483)
<https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=265483>
Still does not work.

So for single thread apps where I know the breakpoints ahead of time I guess things work better than 6.0.1, but not by much.

Thanks for noticing Toni!
There was actually a request from the community to have bug 275238 as part of 3.5.2, so it would be nice to have it as part of our build. (bug 249169 is using the same fix as 275238)

Sorry for fixing it last minute like that.

Hi Vivian,

I noticed that two commits did not make it into the RC4 candidate,
one from Marc for bugs 275238 and 249169 and one from me (bug 280010).
I believe RC4 is the last release candidate before GA. In this case, I think we would need a rebuild.

Thanks,
Toni

Hi everyone,

Galileo SR2 RC4+1 is today. Did anyone get a chance to try out our RC4 Candidate build?
