RE: [cdt-dev] C++0x syntax
|
In addition to Sergey's effort, I will also spend some
time on extending the parser to support C++0x throughout the next year. I
am not yet sure whether will have complete support in the next
CDT release, though.

syntax

Unfortunately, I don't think we have C++0x on the plans. It's going
to be a while before it rolls out commercially so there's no real pressure for
it except for early adopters like yourself. Anyone interested in getting a
start on this?

Hello,
I
just recently started using gcc 4.4's C++0x features, and I noticed that the
Eclipse CDT editor highlights as syntax errors certain statements that were
not valid in C++98 but are in C++0x (e.g. "enum class"
declarations).
I was wondering whether there are any plans to
implement an option for the parser to recognize C++0x code (or perhaps there
already is such an option, I just can't find it)?
On a related note,
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you guys for your awesome work -
in my opinion, Eclipse CDT is hands-down the best IDE for cross-platform C++
development. Among many other things, kudos for supporting semantic
highlighting. I know this must have been difficult to implement for C++, and
I've yet to see another editor that can do it.
Thanks,
Nate.
