RE: [cdt-dev] CDT 6 Release Review slides

Ok, but I’m talking about the general user (not cdt developers) who just wants to download CDT and use it.  They won’t be looking in plugin manifests for this basic information.

I think that's actually recorded in the plugin manifests. Informally, we'll probably stay on Java 5 for a while. Mind you there are some nice new features in Java 6 in java.io.File that make it more useful on Linux like setting execute permissions. But we haven't talked about that yet.

This may or may not be one of the right places, but it would be good if, for each CDT release, the CDT minimum required/recommended runtime jvm was clearly and simply stated for users.

Thanks,

Hey gang,

I am putting together the CDT 6.0 Release Review slides. I have the first draft attached here. Please let me know if there are any changes/additions to make. I need to get these in today, so if you let me know as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Doug.
