I think I fixed it. Looks pretty good now on Firefox, Chrome, IE8. Let me know if you see it bad on others.
Lesson learned: when you say height of 80%, they all interpret 80% of "what" differently.

Hmm, same with Google Chrome, which makes sense since they both use Webkit.
But that's nothing compared to what IE8 does with it. It's almost fullscreen. I'd hate to be a web developer...
