[cdt-dev] Vote for Committer status for James Blackburn has started

tools.cdt Committers,
This automatically generated message signals that Elena Laskavaia has
nominated James Blackburn as a Committer on the tools.cdt project. The
reason given is as follows:

James has been a great contributor, he helped a lot with managed build and
project model, he submitted lots of patches of very good quality and high
maturity.

Some of the recent CDT bugs with applied patches are:

242955	new configurations badly or not saved
259964 After opening a project sometimes an extra Debug
configuration gets created in IManagedBuildInfo
244035 ErrorParsTab ClassCastException in updateData(...)
242403 ClassCastException when Managing Multiple configurations and
toolchain contains option
247851 Linked Resources line breakpoints in a file which is a linked
resource don't appear to work
252969 ManagedBuilder Tests DefaultFortranDependencyCalculator
doesn't close input streams
247853 AbsolutePathSourceContainer does a string comparison check using
!=
201087 [Documentation] Template Engine & New Project Model
244012 Memory Rendering Transport export SRecord Exporter should
zero pad the checksum
196118 [Test] CDescriptor junit test fails occasionally

There are a bunch of other outstanding patches which he submitted (and we
did not apply them yet due to not having enough time/expertise in the area)
plus a few other one-liners which have also been applied.

The project storage bug (Bug 252966) contains a larger example of his
work...

In the immediate future he is interested in:
 - Fixing other outstanding bugs in the project model
 - Working with the committers on deciding whether the project
description refactoring is worth it.
 - Improving the world for linked resources users [patches submitted].
 - Improving / fixing scanner discovery -- make it flexible enough to
plug improved Dwarf parser in (bug 236872)
 - Work with the editor guys (Toni et al.) to improve the world for
assembler programmers [He has patches for adding custom mnemonic
highlighting]
 - Help triage the outstanding project model & build bugs.
 - Add comments, documentation and tests to areas where he contribute / fix
bugs
