[cdt-dev] Strange character mapping in hover text

I get a strange character mapping on my MacBookPro when hovering over CDT errors
It seems that in place of the single quotes, I get (see attached image) ,Ao more or less (umlaut over A, accent over o)

Does anyone know how to fix this?


I don't get it for JDT errors but I don't know that they have any single quotes in them that I can find in a quick test.
This has happened I think as long as I've had this machine (a few months) and my short query of other Mac users indicates that they don't see it.
Any ideas? It's probably some simple character mapping setting or something.
