[cdt-dev] Is extension point schema update permitted now ?

Hi people .

I need to add 1 non-obligatory element (helpID)
to "org.eclipse.cdt.ui.cPropertyTab" extension point.

Would it be treated as API modification ?
Really, existing implementors will work as before, simply ignoring this
field.
