Yeah, I’m not sure removing it is a
good idea. The Makefile project is our catch all in case a user is having
trouble with the “managed” project types.
Mind you, the name is probably wrong since
it can integrate into any build system not just make. Which brings up another
point, how much we still see gnu, make, cygwin hard coded into the CDT platform…

Subject: RE: [cdt-dev] CDT project
types
Hi Sheldon,
There is no way to remove the
“Makefile project” entry since it is generated internally by the
managedbuilder.ui plug-in.
Please raise a bugzilla request so that we
could discuss the issue and make it possible to remove the “makefile
project” entry from the wizard.

Subject: [cdt-dev] CDT project
types
Hi,
I am currently migrating
to the new CDT 4.0 project model. We support autotools projects , how do i get
rid of the makefile project option
that appears on the main page of project creation wizard. I would like only the
3 options
1. Executable
2. Shared Library
3. Static library
to appear on the main page.
Regards,
Sheldon
