Later that night I sent a mail mentioning
that I backed out the change. So yes feel free to update. We’ll catch up
with M6 on Monday, assuming they release it by then ;) (BTW, it’s
supposed to be released today, but they’ve already had two respins).

Subject: Re: [cdt-dev] CDT 4.0
build broken
Wondering if this has been resolved. Was going to do an update but will
hold-off if this is still a problem

I updated the CDT 4.0 sources and found the build broken.
In case you missed this in the bugzilla traffic today:
Commits were made to make CDT 4.0 build with (and require) 3.3 M6:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=175338
But it doesn’t actually build with M6 because of another problem:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=178673
I’m working around this for now by commenting out portions of
ProjectLanguageMappingPropertyPage.
