This bug : https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=159833#c3 does seem to describe behavior similar to what I am seeing on linux. I am a CDT 'user' at the moment and will assume that there is no workaround for this problem. If anyone knows of one we would greatly appreciate it. This is a frequent customer complaint.
