Good question. Give that it’s a
major release and the major theme is API change (just kidding J)… Actually it’s
up to the committers as a group. When will everyone be comfortable with an API
freeze? Code freeze, i.e. the point where we only fix bugs, will likely happen
in sync with the Platform which will likely be sometime during April next year.
We had a nice two month ramp down this year that worked very well. With all the

that M1 is in the end of August and M4 is in the end of December-beginning of
January 2007(following to the platform plan below), when are the API freeze and
Code freeze should happen? I’m
asking because I’d like to know what time slot we will have for the 4.0
