I think this week is looking to be the
best for most people. Lets call it for Sept 19-21 (Tues-Thurs). I am looking at
options for rooms but it would be here in Ottawa.
Also, I don’t think we’ll need
to charge as I had suggested before. We should be able to find a free room at
one of our locations and would also give us the benefit of breakout rooms.
I am also going to call this the CDT
Developers Fall Conference. The focus will be on the planning and reviews for
the features we want to do for CDT 4.0 and beyond. In the past, we’ve
used these for a bit of recruiting, but it’s time now to focus on the
work we need to do to bring the CDT to it’s deserved place in “Uberness”.

Once there were some talks on the last Monthly call regarding having the CDT
fall conference in September, I have to raise the question regarding the final
conference dates now, since I will need for at least 1.5 month for travel
arrangements (obtaining visa, etc.)
So please speak up your preferences regarding the conference dates to this
thread so that we could come to the final decision ASAP.
I would personally prefer the conference to be held in the end of September or
later, but in case most of the participants prefer the conference to be held a
bit earlier, I would be OK with that, but I’m afraid that July-August
would not be sufficient for me.
Doug, I also think it would be good to create a new page on the CDT wiki
dedicated to the forthcoming conference and describe the conference details
(dates, any participation requirements, etc.) there.
