You might get better answers on the cdt newsgroup.

 

This kind of tells me that cygwin\bin is not on your path when you launched Eclipse. We shouldn’t be depending on this but there are instances where we do.

I am trying to compile a cpp project in eclipse with gcc and I get an error

 

1 Error launching external scanner info generator (gcc -E -P -v -dD

 

How do I tell eclipse about gcc ?

I am running XP and I have cygwin installed.

 

Is this the right mailing list for cpp in eclipse?
