RE: [cdt-dev] Vote for Committer Restructuring

I am not sure if this is going to help. But my 2 cents.

My friend found a tool called CVS SPAM (:-) ) . This tool actually makes a diff between the existing version & the current changed
version & sends out an email with the diff in a nice format.
By this, we can atleast know what kind of check-in are happening / changes.

We could add this to the existing CVS. My friend took about 15-20 minutes to do the set up.

For further details , please refer to http://www.badgers-in-foil.co.uk/projects/cvsspam/

Thanks,
Bala

I agree with Leo (I assumed that this was what he meant to begin with).
I don't think it's a problem as I assume that whether it was official policy or not that everyone was going to behave courteously
regardless
:-)

The thing also to remember is that every committer has a "veto" of sorts. Sure, you can go ahead and change all the code in some
way contrary to everyone else's opinion, but any other committer can just change it back on you. You're better off reaching a
consensus rather than engaging in "patch wars" and seeing which of you gets tired of changing the code first :-P
