[cdt-dev] Code completion filtering discussion - new log in the fire :-)

Hello Doug and all,

since the date for the fall conference is approaching ...
and the discussion has died down somewhat ...
and since I would to have a result soon so I can proceed to supply the implementation ...

I thought I'd put another log in the fire and have prepared a few slides which summarize my suggestion for https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=104792

I'd like to put this up for discussion here. Is it still a matter for discussion at the conference? When can a decision be made about this issue?

Thanks,

Norbert

Doug,

what kind of input do you want?

- PowerPoint slides?
- More detailed specification or requirements document? (Summarizing the results from the discussion in bugzilla 104792)

Do you want to incorporate it into your material yourself or give me a few minutes to introduce the stuff?

I'd mail my materials to you as soon as possible / attach it to 104792 so you can use them in your preparation and so that the material will not be entirely new to the community when it is presented.

Or what do you suggest?

Greets

Norbert

I think we can work this into the parser part of the talk. I have some plans
for vastly improving the performance of the DOM that will directly affect
all features that use it, including code completion. I'll certainly be open
to your input.

Thanks,
