Re: [cdt-dev] List of performance improvements for CDT 3.0

What aspect of performance were you concerned with? If you are talking 
about responsiveness to UI gestures, my understanding is that GTK is much 
faster than Motif. Other factors affecting performance of some of CDT 
features would be disk performance and cache sizes. Eclipse isn't 
generally a CPU bound application, except when asking for lots of parse 
information.

Sorry to interfere - a small fact: 
I bought new Opteron-64-3200 and fast RAM 512MB in a hope it will speed-up 

Eclipse/CDT.
No visible improvement in performance against my previous 
Athlon-1200...:-((

Is there any difference in using Motiff or GTK?
