FYI,

  Old news for some, but it should please some people and allow
me to close some PR agains the CDT 8-).
Part of Eclipse-3.1M4

Import/Export to tar.gz format

The Import and Export > Zip File wizards now support the tar.gz compressed 
archive file
format popular on UNIX systems.
The wizards have been renamed Import and Export > Archive File 
accordingly.
