[cdt-dev] Fw: Audio Conference information for CDT 2.0 Kickoff meeting on Nov 12

In addition to the audio conferences that have been set up for the CDT 2.0 kickoff meeting on Nov 12, we have set up an e-meeting using the webex service. Joining the meeting is fairly simple:

- go to the following site:   https://midnight.webex.com
- select the meeting called CDT 2.0 to join (there is no password)

My understanding is that if this is the first time you are using webex, any software required will be installed right then and there (only on Windows I think...) This may take a few moments, so try to join up a little early if possible. The meeting is scheduled to start at 9:00 am Eastern.

Thanks,

Kleo

Audio Conference information for CDT 2.0 Kickoff meeting on Nov 12

Hi folks,

Here is the audio conference information for those interested in dialling into the CDT 2.0 kickoff discussion taking place on Wed. Nov. 12.

For the audio bridge that will cover the general items on the agenda (items 1 - 8), this is the bridge that will be used:

        Dial in number: 1 877 303 3363   (international: 1 416 405 9300)   Passcode: 7316708#

At approximately 2:00 pm Eastern, three break-out session will be held (agenda item 9). For the CDT-core breakout session, we will use the same bridge as above.

For the CDT-Debug breakout session, the audio conference details are:

    Dial-in:  1 866 540 8136  (international: 1 416 340 8010)   Passcode: 1496228#

For the Embedded Roadmap breakout session, the audio conference details are:

    Dial-in:  1 866 540 8136  (international: 1 416 340 8010)   Passcode: 1496230#

AGENDA
========

1) Introduction        (5-10 min)

2) Current State of the CDT & vision for future (15 min) - Sebastien

3) Eclipse 3.0 overview and tools projects overview (60min) (John Duimovich
and Dave Thomson)

4) Participant Presentations covering the following: (15 min per
participant, ~2h total)
      - current & planned cdt/eclipse activities, including products &
contributions
      - feedback on the CDT (their own and/or downstream customers)
      - requirements for upcoming release(s)

-----------  LUNCH  (WILL BE PROVIDED)  --------------------

5) Managing the 2.0 release (15 min) -- Kleo Hapitas
      - 2.0 Draft Timeline
      - Milestone & Release Process

6) CDT Core 2.0 proposed architecture/features (15min) -- Doug Schaefer

7) CDT Debug 2.0 proposed architecture/features (15min) -- Alain Magloire or Thomas Fletcher

8) Embedded Roadmap Presentation (15 min) - Sebastien Marineau

9) Break-out sessions (we will split up into 3 teams and run these in
       parallel -- approx. 1-2h)
       - CDT core
       - CDT debug
       - Embedded roadmap

---> The goal of these breakout sessions is to bring together
the participant requirements presented earlier and the proposed
architecture/features for core and debug and start to understand
what is possible for the 2.0 timeframe and what may have to be
deferred. Variables to consider are architecture, level of risk,
effort required, resourcing levels, etc. When everyone joins up
again for the final parts of the agenda, a view of what the teams
feel could/should be tackled in the 2.0 timeframe should be
presented, as well as what action should be taken for items that
    don't fall into that category.

10) Next steps and wrap-up
