Subject
[cdt-dev] Proposal: CVS logs for org.eclipse.cdt*

Hey all,

I've checked with the eclipse.org people and they said it was possible to
add in CVS logging capability. So here's the proposal I'd like to put up
for vote:

Use the syncmail script that SourceForge uses to track commits to the
org.eclipse.cdt* projects. This results in mail that looks like this:

http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=3150542&forum_id=35383

These mails would be sent to a new mailing list: cdt-cvs@xxxxxxxxxxx.

With this set up, committers would no longer be required to send patches
to the patch list (since the logs give the same info). The patch list
would only be used by non-committers requesting changes and for feedback
on those changes.

Thoughts? Votes?
