I've submitted a patch for a bug shown here:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=302929

It is rather hacky, but enables me to materialize eclipse components from a maven repository with the P2 materializer to my target platform.

I've run the buckminster core unit test plugin and all the tests pass.
