I know that may sound like a weird question to ask, but please hear me out. I am developing a customized Remedy solution for use in my department and I require the ability to generate comprehensive reports but I find that the Report Designer that is included with the BMC Remedy ITSM product is rather limiting as far as formatting and presentation capabilities. I read through their documentation and they happened to mention building customized reports using BIRT and after doing some research, I found that BIRT may be the tool that I need to generate the reports that I want to create. Since I work for a government agency, I can’t just download the tool and use it without it having been already evaluated and approved for use on the network. I have not been able to find any documentation stating that it had been evaluated for approval for use on my network. DOD does have reciprocity agreements with other government agencies though and I was wanting to know if you were aware of any government agency that may have evaluated this product for use on their network or are actively using it. If I am able to obtain a Certificate to Field for use, then I may be able to use this tool in my network which would be a great help for my project. Thank you very much for your time!
