[birt-dev] Next BIRT Release?

Hi all,

I'm new to BIRT development and I'm wondering if there are plans for when the next BIRT release will be published. AFAIK BIRT did not participate in the last Eclipse SimRels (2018-09 and 2018-12). Is this correct? Are there any obstacles that have to be taken until a new BIRT release can be published? I'm entirely new to the Eclipse community so maybe someone can light me up on what steps are necessary for a Release and how I can help.

A goal would be to have a BIRT release with the next Eclipse SimRel (2019-03), wouldn't it?
