Meeting Logistics
Due to conflicts, no PMC meeting is planned for Monday May 28, 2007
iText IP Approval
iText continues to work through the IP approval process. Additional issues were identified by IBM last week and were fixed over the weekend. IP approval is expected soon.
BIRT 2.1.3 Development
Currently, 46 defects are assigned to and addressed in the BIRT 2.1.3 maintenance release. We are targeting May 25th for a Release Candidate build and will allow time for additional community feedback.
We will also wait for iText to receive IP approval and will incorporate iText into the BIRT 2.1.3 release.
Current tentative schedule is to release BIRT 2.1.3 sometime in late June, depending on availability of resources to test (since we will also be very busy with BIRT 2.2 at that time).
General Information
BIRT 2.1.3 is the third maintenance release in the BIRT 2.1 release series and is intended to be narrow in scope since the development team is concentrating on BIRT 2.2. The 2.1.3 release is focused on addressing critical bugs identified by the community.

BIRT 2.2 Development
BIRT 2.2 RC0 candidate build is available for the PMC to look at today. Plans for the upcoming releases are:
BIRT 2.2 RC1 - This is not planned for the BIRT project, we will skip this RC and move directly to RC2.
BIRT 2.2 RC2 - June 5
BIRT 2.2 RC3 - June 14
BIRT 2.2 RC4 - June 21
General Information
The next major release of BIRT is BIRT 2.2, scheduled for June 2007 as part of the Europa Simultaneous Release (http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Europa_Simultaneous_Release).
The Development Plan for BIRT 2.2 is available on the Eclipse BIRT pages (http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/project/project_plan_R2_2_0.php). A number of BIRT Project Specifications (BPS) relating to BIRT 2.2 have been posted on the BIRT Wiki.

BIRT 2.2 Crosstab Feature
The new crosstab feature is available for testing in the RC0 milestone release. For details of what capabilities will be available for testing in the milestone, see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=102521.
BIRT 2.2 New & Notable
We are planning on creating a New & Notable for RC0 but not for any of the other Release Candidate milestones. We will create a final New & Notable that represents the whole release.
Europa / BIRT 2.2 Release Review
The Europa Release Review is schedule for Wed June 6. Paul will work on creating the Release Review slides for the BIRT 2.2 release.
