RE: [birt-dev] form-based documents design

Valentin,

You should be able to meet the needs of "random order of components" by using a Grid withinTable or List -- use the Grid to very flexibly lay out the individual data controls within a page. Just like designing a web page using an HTML table to manage the layout.

Is it possible to meet your needs for lines and rectangles by using borders within these Grid and Table or List controls? Try looking at and using the border properties. If this does not work for you, can you explain what your additional requirements are?

Regards,

Paul.

We would like to know if your development team is going to include the support of simple shapes (like lines, rectangles, etc.) in BIRT and random order of components. It is required by the form-based documents design.
