[birt-dev] Chart Bug fix request

Hi,

 

I would like to request the following bug to be fixed in 2.0:

 

124256 - Chart created by build-in "Chart and Listing" template is different with created in blank report

 

The reason for this is that the charts in the template files are old (templates are v1.0.1 reports)

 

It qualifies as a showstopper in the sense that

-          It has high visibility: most people will use templates to create reports

-          Templates charts are different with default charts created in 2.0: this is a consistency issue (font sizes, axis titles visibility, palette colors)

-          The styles won’t work, since the template charts already set all style properties in the chart model (there wasn’t style support in 1.0.1)

 

There is a workaround though: delete the chart and create a new one, but it defeats the purpose of the template.

 

No code change is necessary to fix it, only report templates must be updated with new chart designs.
