Minutes
BIRT 2.0 M2 Development Status
The BIRT 2.0 M2 release was targeted for release today. At this stage, we have a few showstopper bugs that need to be addressed before the M2 release is ready. See Bugzilla or build report emails for details.

Current estimate is that M2 will be ready this week (likely to be mid-week).
Community is encouraged to test the current Nightly Build (see http://download.eclipse.org/birt/downloads/build_list.php) and provide feedback via Bugzilla if there are any problems that are not already reported.

BIRT 2.0 M2 Final Build Announcement Coordination
Sue will send an email to birt-dev mailing list when we think we have the final M2 build ready to go. PMC and community should review and provide feedback within 1 business day if there issues that would prevent the build being declared M2.

BIRT 2.0 M2 New and Noteworthy
Jason W will work on the 2.0 M2 New and Noteworthy. Wenfeng will send the draft list of features that made it into M2 to birt-dev mailing list. This will be the basis for the New and Noteworthy and should be reviewed by the BIRT development team for accuracy.

Eclipse Wiki
A Wiki is now provided as part of the Eclipse infrastructure (see http://wiki.eclipse.org). The BIRT team needs to look at this and, assuming no issues, ultimately move the BIRT Wiki to this infrastructure. However, since we are currently in the middle of BIRT 2.0, we do not want to tackle this at this stage. Tentatively, we will look at migrating to this new infrastructure after BIRT 2.0, in Q1 2006.

Using BIRT and Hibernate: Techforge Article
There is an interesting article out on Techforge about using BIRT with Hibernate. See http://www.techforge.com/index.php/articles/192 for the full article.
