Re: [babel-translators] RE: babel-translators Digest, Vol 9, Issue 4

Hi Sylvie,

Here are some answers for you:

1. The Eclipse 3.2 translations (that were done by IBM) were imported into the Babel server not long after the Babel project has started.  Those were the last language packs provided.

2. You can edit the old translations by using the translation tool.

3. We currently don't have a string/word search function, but there is an enhancement request for that functionality.

Hi *.*
I share the same concerns as Isabelle. I have started working on a list of inconsistencies that can be found at http://wiki.eclipse.org/French_Glossary. At Borland, we also develop and
localize software that are based on the eclipse platform. Some terminology changes would have significant impact on our translation projects since we would have to check all existing translation against the new eclipse terminology.

What I need to know is if the old eclipse translations have been "injected" in the Babel project. If not, this would mean that old translations would be inconsistent with the new translations for key terms that as workspace, run, build, etc.

Do we also have the ability to access or edit the old translations?

Other question, is there any possibility to perform a search on a specific word or string ?

Great Thanks
Best regards
Sylvie
