[babel-translators] RE: French translators

Hi Sylvie

In my understanding, those requirements havenât been implemented yet though the team is aware of them.

We discussed about them at Babel BOF at EclipseCon this year, and followings are ideas from there (according to my note):

- Have a committer (lead translator) for each language

- Have a way to provide feedback to translation (ratings)

- Have a way to see those different translations at one time (to consolidate different translation from same English strings)

But in general, as a community project, have more translated strings is the short-term goal in stead of perfectly translatedâ

Denis, Kit, anything to add?

Thanks,

Masahiro

Subject: [babel-translators] French translators

Hi

I have recently joined the list of the French translators. I would like to get in touch in order to discuss guidelines. I have noticed some inconsistencies in the translations (some translators use accented capital letters and others don't). For ex. I noticed that Run was translated by Lancer and/or ExÃcuter in the same file.

Other question: are you using specific glossaries to make sure that the translation is consistent?

Thanks a lot

Regards

Sylvie
