Hi Markus,
I'll reply as best as I can:

Hi Babel Developers,
first of all, while I personally use Eclipse always in
its untranslated version, I believe it's really cool and
important to have high-quality translations in many
languages available. Therefor you play an important role
and unfortunately your value-add is often underestimated.
Thanks!
I've been adding/updating some of my Eclipse projects
following the advices in "Add an Existing Eclipse Project to
Babel" [1]. Then I went to the translation tool [2] in the
hope to see the new versions, bundles, etc. listed there,
but wasn't able to find them. Then I thought that it may be
an update job that updates the database every night and
tried to find the new bundles the day after, but again they
weren't there.
I'll have to look into that.
Another question that came up when I tried to add (old)
version 1.5.0 for technology.packaging: The data in the
Eclipse Foundation Database seems to be there, but I am unable
to select it in [4]. I'm able to do the same for 1.4.0 and
2.0.0, but 1.5.0 isn't there?
I believe the metadata has moved from the Portal to the new PMI, so
Babel may need an update.
Last question for today: What's the timeframe for a p2
repository with the translations for Kepler?
I believe we typically release a month or so after the release. I'm
not sure why; we really need to align with Kepler. I believe Kit
has some reservations though, as the language packs for the even the
most popular languages are relatively incomplete at release time.
Thanks,
Denis
Thanks for providing this service,
Markus
