Re: [auto-iwg] FYI: Eclipse IDE for Automotive Software Developers

Dear Mike,

It should be possible for us to contribute to the open source communities of Eclipse - OSEE or the AUTO IWG.
Since, we already have an open source project at Bosch( https://github.com/rbei-etas/busmaster/ ), I am confident that we should be able get an approval for OSEE too.
Ofcourse, there will be procedures and check gates that we will have to pass through.

At this time, we have working prototypes for tool interfaces and improved traceability being piloted in some in-house projects.

Best Regards,
Jyothi

Jyothi,

I agree with Andreas that this sounds very exciting!

Can you talk a little bit about the status of the code your team has written? Is Bosch willing to open source this code at Eclipse in support of the vision you've described here?
