WMod's Student Lightning Talk (SLT) track welcomes original submissions whose first author is a 
graduate student (the advisor or other student or non-student collaborators may be co-authors), 
and once accepted which shall be presented by a student. The goal of this track is to provide useful 
feedback on the ongoing work as well as to exchange research ideas with other students and researchers. 
Students will be able to discuss their goals, methods, and results at an early stage in their 
research. Fifteen minutes are available for each student. We recommend limiting talks to ten minutes 
to allow five minutes of Q&A with Distinguished Fellows.

The accepted submission will be included in the proceedings of the WMod.

==== Submission Guidelines

Students should send us an extend abstract up to two pages, up to 23:55 of the informed deadline 
(Apia/Samoa time). Submissions in English are strongly encouraged, although papers can also be 
written and discussed in Portuguese. The acceptance of a paper implies that at least one of its authors will 
register for the workshop to present it. All submissions must be in PDF format, and must follow 
Submissions must be in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) format.

The submission should describe:

- The research problem and motivation
- Background and related work
- Approach description
- Results and contributions
- References

Students who are not selected to participate in the SLT will be considered for the poster event.
