Re: [aspectj-users] How can I exclude class's in aspectJ pointcuts

move which? the pointcuts? You can have the pointcuts in some other
class or aspect

class PointcutLibrary {
  pointcut interestingMethods(): execution(* *(..)) && within(SomeWhere);
}

then refer to it from your aspect

aspect X {
  before(): PointcutLibrary.interestingMethods() {
  }
}

Or you can use abstract and concrete pointcuts:

abstract aspect X {
  abstract pointcut(): interestingMethods;
  before(): interestingMethods() {
  }
}

aspect Y extends X {
  pointcut interestingMethods(): execution(* *(..)) && within(SomeWhere);
}

or you can move the concrete aspect Y into XML and use load-time
weaving. I think we had an enhancement request somewhere to allow XML
as input for compile time weaving too, but I don't remember the
number...

Andy.
