Re: [aspectj-users] errors compiling annotations

I have a question about using annotations to reference methods but not in relation with the errors I had:
Is it necessary to create annotations interfaces to use them? I expected to have the possiblity of tagging my methods like this:

@MyMethod
public void MaMethode(){
/*
* some code
*/
}
Without creating the interface:
public @interface MyMethod {
}

Is it possible?
If not, that means that I have to create as much interfaces as annotations I'm using! It's not very appreciable if I have many annotations to use! Is it?

Oh yes! That is! It works now  when setting  the attribute source="1.5"  in the "iajc" task!  I should have thought to this with the example of the command line!
Thank you for your help :)

Ah, so you aren't using eclipse to build, you are using build.xml to
build?  In that case you need to tell the iajc task to build in 1.5
mode, it won't be aware of the source level you have set in the
compiler options, that is for the built in compiler.  I think it is
something like:

source="1.5"

in your iajc task in the build.xml

Andy.
