We test the runtime jar against 1.1 before a release, and if it didn't
work for some reason, we would accept that as a bug. We don't test
against 1.1 as part of the dev-build and upload process, so it's
possible that errors could creep in inbetween releases, but that's
unlikely as (usually) runtime changes very slowly.
