AOSD.06: Call For Contributions

International Conference on Aspect-Oriented Software Development
In cooperation with ACM SIGPLAN and ACM SIGSOFT

http://aosd.net/conference
Bonn, Germany
March 20-24, 2006

Aspect-oriented software development (AOSD) technologies enable the modularization of crosscutting concerns within software systems. AOSD techniques and tools, applied at all stages of the software lifecycle, are changing the way software is developed in various application domains, ranging from enterprise to embedded systems.  The annual AOSD international conference is the premier event entirely devoted to aspect-oriented technologies and practices, bringing together leading researchers and practitioners from all over the world to discuss the latest developments and future directions in the field.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION:
23.09.05 Abstract Submission: Research Papers (required), Industry Papers (recommended)
30.09.05 Full Submission: Research Papers, Industry Papers
14.10.05 Workshops, Tutorials, Demos, Exhibits, Panels
23.01.06 Student Extravaganza

(for complete submission information please visit http://aosd.net/conference)

RESEARCH PAPERS:
Abstracts Due: 23.09.05 | Full Submissions Due: 30.09.05

Research papers should describe work that presents novel contributions to the broad field of AOSD research. We also welcome experience papers that are of broad interest and provide interesting research insights gained from practical application of aspect-oriented technology. We encourage submissions from all fields of research in AOSD such as early aspects, modelling and design, programming languages, formal methods, testing and evolution, to name a few.

All accepted papers for this track will appear in the conference proceedings to be published by ACM.

Areas of interest include (but are not limited to):
    * Requirements Engineering, Analysis and Design
    * Software architectures and product lines
    * Applications and tools
    * Aspect interference and composition
    * Contracts, components and aspects
    * Model Driven Architecture and UML
    * Concern modeling and mining
    * General-purpose and domain-specific aspect languages
    * Software development methods and patterns
    * Reverse engineering and refactoring
    * Reflection and meta-programming
    * Semantics and type systems
    * Compilation techniques and optimizations
    * Verification, validation, static and dynamic analyses, and testing
    * Distributed systems and middleware
    * Evolution and adaptability
    * Evaluation and metrics

INDUSTRY PAPERS:
Abstracts Recommended: 23.09.05 | Full Submissions Due: 30.09.05

Are you developing tools to support AOSD, or do you have experience applying aspect-oriented techniques to a commercial project, product, or open source solution? What problems did you tackle with AOSD, and what were the results?

Industry papers should present contributions to the industrial practice of AOSD.  They provide an opportunity for the industry leaders who are applying AOSD to share their experiences with each other, and the rest of the community.  With an aim of bringing together the leading industry players and the leading researchers, industry papers will form an important part of the conference.
