[aspectj-users] Precedence only affects concrete aspects?

I found this declaration on the 1.1 changes page:

    declare dominates: *..*Security*, Logging+, *;

Since precdence only affects concrete aspects, isn't this declaration
equivalent to:

    declare dominates: *..*Security*, Logging, *;
    //(no +)
?

If not, I'm unclear on what the + does. Can anyone help my understanding?
