Since it's been asked, here's my current best guess at the release schedule.  This is always extremely tentative.

The obvious items that I'm aware of needed for the release candidate are to fix all reported bugs (currently 12, but clearly will be increase) and to do some serious work on incremental compilation quality.

I hope that we can release 1.1candidate1 on February 4th.  This means that I will need all patches to be submitted and cvs commits for that release to be finished by February 3rd.
