[alf-events] Eclipse ALF Planning Meeting Minutes 2/24

 Attendees:  Kelly Shaw, Bob Brady, Tim Buss, Brian Carroll, Eric

Team agreed on the following improvements to the demo/application for
EclipseCon (starts
3/20)

1 - Replace Service Flow - swap CVS for DM - Gives us open source
capability.  Team agrees this is a good addition for the EclipseCon
demo.
Tasks:
 - CVS Service Flow - Tim
 - Interface/Service to have Event Manager auto reload the Event Map -
Tim
 - Call Interface/Service - Tim
 - Install & Configure CVS - Rollo

* Team would like to eventually have a complete open source solution
path, but given the time frame remaining to Eclipse Con we don't have
the time to do all this, but we can add in CVS & Bugzilla in that
timeframe.  Requirements team will continue to discuss the full use case
for 1.0 release.

*** Cliff @ AccuRev will investigate if they can also create a Service
to replace DM using the same WSDL to show this functionality also.  Will
discuss with the details with Tim.  

2 - Expected Build Failure & submit bug to Bugzilla - Also shows open
source capability.  Team agrees this is a good addition for the
EclipseCon demo.
Tasks:
 - Add options to TT Flow to select broken build - Tim
 - Extend DM or CVS "Get" to get the Broken Project - Tim
 - Catalyst Pass failed build status - Steve
 - Modify TT Service Flow to raise Event to run the Update Bugzilla SF -
Tim
 - New Service Flow for Bugzilla (command line Service?) - Tim or Steve
 - Install & configure Bugzilla - Rollo
 - Adjust current Event tool extension data to normalize - Tim
 - Add failure from the test tools - Bob

3 - Branching for Test Options - Team agrees this is a good addition for
the EclipseCon demo.
Tasks:
 - Add options to TT to specify what you want to do for test - Tim
 - Pass data from TT - Tim
 - Branching of the BPEL flows - Tim implement, ***Bob recommend what
can be branched
 - Possibly options for scan to branch? - at least add the option to
scan or not to scan - ***John S provide failure status or results of
this?  Tim discuss with John.  

4 - Unexpected Build Failure - Emphasize why this is different than
scripting. Add this if time allows.
  - Build a sample BPEL map that shows compensation

5 - Continue work on Service Stubs and documentation on how to configure
system - target finishing this by EclipseCon or shortly thereafter so
folks can download and see ALF hands-on
 - Vendor finalize stubs
 - Commit to CVS
 - Finalizing packaging

6 - Compuware Corona use case - Continue working with this team to
either add a demo or a "story" about the synergy of the projects.


***EclipseCon Contributors w/Products - Please also check your licenses
to ensure they won't expire before/during Eclipse Con.  

Mirinda will incorporate these tasks into our project plan and post that
early next week.  Target is to complete all tasks by 3/10 and spend the
final week working out any last minute kinks.  We'll spend the next 3
meetings finalizing work for EclipseCon and then start planning the
tasks/plans for the next deliverable.
