RE: [alf-dev] Event Manager Implementation

Vinay,
It is a web service now - just not an apache "axis" web service. It is
possible that we may change the implementation to use axis for ALF 1.0.
The driving factor is likely to be the need to leverage the ws-security
implementation provided by axis 2.0.

Just so you know, I am working on putting together a ALF "sample" which
will include the current event manager, some "stub" web services and
some BPEL flows. This samples is based on the POC. I am currently
waiting for Eclispe IP approval so I can start to arrange it in the ALF
CVS.

A number of people are waiting for this and I apologise that is had
taken rather longer than expected to get committed. I hate to give a
time frame since I've been wrong on that so far. It is possible that
this will be available in a preliminary form in the next two weeks. I
will be looking for people to be harshly critical in a friendly and
constructive sort of way shortly after I am done posting the
configuration instructions. I will, of couse, send an announcement to
the mailing list so watch this space.

Tim

Subject: [alf-dev] Event Manager Implementation

Just confirm what is mentioned in the Architecture doc - For v 1.0
release, would the Event Manager be a servlet just like it is available
now or would it be available as a web service. I do not find updates to
the code in CVS. It would be great if it is made available so that we
can plan our prototypes better.
