RE: [alf-dev] Difference Reports

Hi Eric,

I think this is good. I agree it is core to ALF in that, at a minimum,
Build tools will ask Versioning tools what activity has occurred
recently or since-last-build.

I wonder if anyone likes the term "Activity Report." This would
distinguish itself (perhaps) from "difference report" which may often be
interpreted by wider audiences to mean the detailed line-by-line content
difference.

Should a "Get Activity Report" use case be added? (or I guess the "Get
New Versions Since" case could be elaborated).

To make the use case links handy:

Subject: [alf-dev] Difference Reports

We had some discussion at the SCM vocab meeting about diference reports.

I wrote an email that was too long about this, then emailed it to the
wrong location. I decided that was a sign and quickly formatted it and
slapped it up on the wiki. We can take it down later, it isn't linked in

to anything. It's more readable there than in an email anyway.
