[alf-dev] New ALF SSO Design and Technology document on the ALF website

Dear ALF community,

 

The 2nd in the series of documents on Single-Signon for ALF has been posted to the ALF website. (See: http://www.eclipse.org/alf/includes/ALF_Security_Technology_and_Design_draft.pdf )

 

The document is a draft and is still under construction. It covers the design and sources of technology to implement SSO for ALF.  The goal of the document is to describe the design and technology in sufficient detail to allow the planning for implementing ALF SSO to be accomplished.

 

The first document in the series, ALF Security Architecture: SSO (See: http://www.eclipse.org/alf/includes/ALF_Security_Architecture_SSO.pdf ) covered the entities involved, protocols used, and architecture of the ALF SSO system.  Note that that document has been updated on the ALF web site to version 00.25.

 

You are invited to read both documents, especially the newer Design and Technology draft, and contribute to them by providing text, feedback, implementation experiences, etc.  If you identify areas to which you would be interested in contributing, please respond to the newsgroup.
