[alf-dev] Recommended ALF Dev Environment

Hello Alfers,

 

My goal is to have a guideline-tidy ALF dev environment.  I’ve read through the docs and here’s what I plan to use:

 

- Java JDK 1.5

- Eclipse 3.1

- Tomcat 5.5.9 /Axis 1.2.1 for Event Manager/Service Flow WS and client jars

- ActiveBPEL 2.0 for Service Flow Engine

- Oracle BPEL Process Designer 10.1.2 Eclipse Plugin

 

The Oracle Process Designer plugin appeared to install fine into eclipse 3.1.  The Oracle BPEL engine appeared not to support tomcat, plus ALF recommended ActiveBPEL anyway.

 

Any comments, advice?

Any recommended reading for ramping up quick on BPEL?
